Juliette Liber combines her position as Assistant Professor at the University of Amsterdam (Department of Clinical Developmental Psychology) with a clinical role in specialized mental health care (SGGZ) as a cognitive behavioral therapist (VGCt) and a Orthopedagoog-Generalist BIG. She graduated in 2002 as an orthopedagoag from the University of Amsterdam and obtained her PhD in 2008 on research into the treatment of anxiety disorders (Curium/LUMC). She then worked as a postdoctoral researcher on a study into the treatment of behavioral problems in primary schools, which resulted in the interventions “Ik kies voor zelfcontrole” (“I Choose Self-Control”) and “Meer zelfcontrole minder boos” (“More Self-Control, Less Anger”) for children with mild intellectual disabilities. In developing interventions and writing professional literature, she greatly enjoys combining her clinical and teaching experience with scientific insights. Juliette is also a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (VGCt) supervisor and teaches at the RINO Group. In addition, she is the author of several books for professionals in child and adolescent mental health care (intervention manuals and books).
