* obtain more insight into the development of decision making, reinforcement learning, risk taking and motivation.
* often using advanced statistical or mathematical techniques.
* also study societally relevant questions. For example, we study risk taking by adolescents diagnosed with ADHD and by adolescents with a mild to borderline intellectual disability. We also study adolescents' climate friendly choices, their school meritocracy beliefs, their academic buoyancy, and adolescent specific ways to manage symptoms of psychopathology.
