    Amelie is an assistant professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Amsterdam. Her main research interests are leadership and followership, training and development, change management, (observational) research methods, and sustainability in the workplace.

    Before joining the UvA, Amelie was working as a Post-Doc at the University of Zurich, Switzerland, in the department of Work and Organizational Psychology, where she contributed to a project on the trainability of adaptive leadership. Amelie earned her Ph.D. (summa cum laude) from Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany, for her research on "Without Followers, There Are No Leaders: Insights Into the Dynamic Co-Construction of Leadership". She studied Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Master of Science) and at the SRH University Heidelberg (Bachelor of Arts).

    Furthermore, Amelie is passionate about helping organizations understand how interpersonal dynamics shape organizational success and translating scientific research into actionable recommendations for business contexts.
